Anchorage Denali Express

Anchorage Denali Express features a spacious, comfortable, climate controlled motorcoaches with large picture windows, lots of legroom and on-board rest room. Choose our standard Anchorage-Denali travel service or one of our multi-day motor coach tour packages. Packages include round trip Anchorage-Denali transportation and Denali National Park lodging.

Transportation Options

Anchorage Denali Express

Located at the interior of Alaska, Denali National Park can be reached by road. If you are traveling from Anchorage, you have to head North on George Parks Highway. The highway continues on to North connecting Denali National Park and Fairbanks. Whether you are traveling North from Anchorage or traveling South from Fairbanks, you can reach Denali National Park by ether self driving on the George Parks Highway, or aboard train.

Traveling by train gives you a scenic experience in a more leisurely pace. If you are traveling from Fairbanks to Denali, using the train is a logical choice because of the scenic beauty you can witness. The train arrives Denali at about noon, which gives you ample of opportunities to indulge in various tours and activities at the park entrance for the rest of the day. The next day you can have full day to enjoy and explore the wilderness of the interior of the park. The train from Fairbanks arrive Denali right on time, giving you an hour of connection time, before heading to exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge.

Traveling North from Anchorage, we recommend traveling one day by train and other way by motor coach. This especially works well, if you want to go straight to our exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge. The motor coach leaves Anchorage at 7:30 AM and arrive Denali at noon, giving you an hour of connection time to catch the bus going to the lodge. On the day of your check out from the lodge, you will arrive at the train depot by 11:00 AM, giving you an hour and half of connection time to catch the train that leaves Denali for Anchorage at 12:30 PM.

If you arrive at Denali National Park by either train or our motor coach, we provide complimentary shuttle service from Train Depot at the park entrance to Denali Cabins. All of the tours and activities we book at the park entrance provide pick up right from Denali Cabins. On top of that, we also provide regular and scheduled courtesy shuttle service between Denali Cabins and the park entrance.
